Conventional Oil and Gas

Conventional Light Oil and Gas Production

Conventional Oil and Gas Provides Value with Stability and Maturity

Our conventional assets have been instrumental to our success. As we evolve, we will continue to rely on our conventional assets to:

  1. Provide large accumulations of oil and gas
  2. Generate cash flow
  3. Provide development opportunities that complement our thermal development

Primary Conventional Assets

Our principal conventional operations include:

  • Greater Olds / Garrington Area
We hold a large, continuous land base in the area with over 500 gross sections of Cardium rights, extensive infrastructure and significant operatorship.
  • Swan Hills Trend
This is a significant conventional light oil resource which provides long term, low decline production and cash flow. The Swan Hills area provides us with opportunities to put our technical experience of carbonate reservoirs to work on our operated interests in Judy Creek, Carson Creek, Deer Mountain and Sawn Lake, where we have extensive control of the infrastructure.
  • Groundbirch / Bernadet Montney
The Montney formation is one of the most economic gas resources plays in North America.  We have greater than 50 gross sections of Montney land with liquids content (C3+) ranging from 0-75 bbl/MMcf.
