We believe in making a positive impact on everything we touch; this is especially true when it comes to our environmental impact.
Our goal is to eliminate or minimize our environmental footprint in all of our activities. We strive not only to leave the land in a better condition than we found it, but also to promote environmentally friendly, sustainable development in the communities where we work and live. We know that the actions we take today can have an impact today, tomorrow and long into the future.
We have an active well and facility abandonment and site restoration program under which Pengrowth continues to assess and remediate sites impacted by historical operations, as well as responsible management of hydraulic fracturing completion techniques.
While not all of our development activities involve the use of hydraulic fracturing completion techniques, the process is utilized in some of our development areas. The following provides some external resources for additional information on hydraulic fracturing as well as a link to our frequently asked questions regarding hydraulic fracturing practices in general and in the Lochend area:

|Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)|
|Canadian Society for Unconventional Resources (CSUR)|
